Project summary

Working with digital agency Beyond, I was commissioned to develop a series of interactive prototypes for Google's Anti-Traffic Quality Resource Centre, helping Google's London team explore a new approach to its advertising fraud content.

The challenge

Google's existing resource centre needed a more contemporary experience and a clearer way of presenting technical information about advertising fraud.

The task was to turn supplied designs into working prototypes that could be reviewed and tested before the new experience was developed.

The approach

Working from designs based on Atomic Design principles, I developed a modular front-end prototype built from reusable elements, components and modules.

This component-based approach allowed different page configurations to be assembled quickly without duplicating code, making it easier to explore and refine the proposed experience.

The prototypes were built using HTML, CSS and JavaScript and designed to work within Google's existing CMS environment.

The result

A working set of responsive prototypes demonstrating how Google's advertising fraud content could be delivered through a flexible, reusable component system.

The prototypes covered key areas including invalid traffic, click fraud and resources for advertisers and publishers, and provided Google's team with a tangible experience to evaluate before implementation.
