Project summary
Vizient is one of the largest member-owned healthcare services organisations in the United States, supporting hospitals and healthcare providers across the country. Following the merger of VHA, University HealthSystem Consortium and Novation, the organisation needed a new website to bring the newly combined Vizient brand and its services together within a single digital experience.
The challenge
FutureBrand commissioned me to develop the front-end for the new Vizient website, translating its designs into a flexible set of reusable components.
The front-end needed to support a large, content-rich website across desktop, tablet and mobile, while integrating cleanly with a back-end CMS being developed by a separate team in Chicago.
The approach
I developed the site as a modular front-end system, breaking the designs down into reusable components that could be combined to create a wide range of page layouts.
Using Jade templates, Sass and JavaScript, I built each component independently before bringing them together into complete responsive pages. This component-based approach helped maintain consistency across the site while making the system easier to extend and integrate with the CMS.
